Human Brain Candle

Specimen Collection

Cast at one-quarter scale, the Human Brain Candle is a miniature anatomical study, sculpted with intricate grooves and folds that honour the extraordinary structure of the human mind.

As the candle burns, pockets of blood-red wax emerge through layers of fleshy pink, creating a dramatic coloured melt and gradually revealing what appears to be held beneath the surface.

Strange, precise and quietly arresting, it is an object for collectors and those drawn to the peculiar beauty of the human form.

Part of the FALLOW Specimen Collection, wax studies inspired by nature, the body and what lies between.

Care
Natural wax is soft and delicate, so subtle variations and surface imperfections may occur. The wax may also develop a pale bloom in response to its environment. This is entirely natural and can be gently removed with the warmth of your hand.

Candle safety
Always place the candle on a stable, heat-resistant dish large enough to contain the melting wax. Never leave a burning candle unattended. Keep away from draughts, flammable materials, children and pets. Leave at least 10 cm between burning candles and trim the wick to approximately 5 mm before lighting. Do not move the candle while lit or while the wax is molten. This candle is not food or a toy.
